Doug Hochglaube, MBA, P.MBA
Doug Hochglaube has over 15 years of comprehensive experience in residential acquisition and development within the Ontario home building sector. Doug is well-versed in the financial analysis of high-rise and low-rise residential projects along with a solid background in structuring real estate acquisitions that focus on realizing returns for its shareholders while providing landowners with optimal gains.
Prior to joining the home building industry, Doug was focused on mergers and acquisitions where he built a reputation for being able to turn around and grow companies through building strategic alliances, joint ventures, and fiscally prudent financial policies. Doug's philosophy is centred on creating a win-win relationship between all stakeholders involved.
KENT CHIN, MBA, MFIN

Kent has over 10 years of broad-based commercial real estate experience spanning several asset classes. Among his diverse roles, he has held positions as: Commercial Real Estate Underwriter for a global conglomerate, Asset Manager responsible for increasing net operating income for an international portfolio of bank owned properties, as well as Senior Manager of Corporate Real Estate responsible for optimizing a 6 million square foot office real estate footprint.
Complementing his work experience, Kent has an MBA from Ryerson University specializing in Retail and Commercial Real Estate Development as well as a Master of Finance from Queen's University.
Stan Lau, BURPI

Stan Lau joined Trolleybus Urban Development in 2014. Given his knowledge of city planning procedures, urban infill development policies, and a thorough understanding of the real estate market, Stan's strength is to provide expert insight on underwriting real estate assets, highest and best use analysis, and municipal rezoning management.
Prior to joining the Trolleybus team, Stan was part of, and played a crucial role, within the corporate advisory team for the Land Services Group at CBRE Limited; a prominent real estate brokerage firm specializing in the acquisition and disposition of greenfield, infill, and brownfield development lands across the GTA. Stan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Ryerson University.
Greg Gilbert, M.Pl

Greg Gilbert is an Urban Planner with Trolleybus Urban Development having joined the firm in 2015. With over six years of experience in municipal planning and land development, Greg provides valuable oversight on project management and design throughout the entire development process while identifying new opportunities and trends through detailed planning review and analysis.
Prior to joining Trolleybus, Greg was a Development Planner with MMM Group; one of Canada's largest planning and engineering firms. Additional planning experience includes roles in the City Design Department of Melbourne, Australia, and planning positions in Calgary, Chatham-Kent and Woodstock. Greg holds a Masters of Planning Degree from the University of Calgary and is an active member of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI), Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) and Urban Land Institute (ULI).
Silvia laban, HBA
Junior Architect, Planning & Design
Silvia Laban is a Junior Architect who joined the Trolleybus team in 2015. Her formal education at the University of Toronto and work experience encompass both interior design and architecture. With varied experience in the city's built form, design and planning policies, she provides valuable insight throughout the development process.
Prior to working at Trolleybus, she had led a number of projects ranging from high-end residential to commercial to industrial. She designs efficient, functional, and innovative spaces that she has the knowledge, skills and experience to see through to completion.
marwa khedr, BURPI
Executive Assistant / Project Coordinator
Joining the Trolleybus Urban Development team as the Project Coordinator and Executive Assistant, Marwa comes well-armed with education, experience and a strong desire to better the city she calls home. She completed her Urban and Regional Planning Degree at Ryerson University.
Prior to joining Trolleybus Urban Development, Marwa worked at the University of Toronto, Molecular Genetics Department, providing support to Graduate Students. She later joined the housing sector working as an assistant manager for a non-profit property management company.
Erich joined the Trolleybus team in July of 2015 as an Acquisitions Consultant. Erich studied theatre at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City.
Prior to joining Trolleybus Urban Development, Erich worked for PSR Brokerage supporting new project launches for Freed Developments including Art Shoppe, 150 Redpath, and Sherwood Park Towns.
Barry Gula, P.ENG., MBA
Advisory VP of Development
Barry has over 20 years of experience in the real estate development industry. His diverse experience along with his attention to detail has allowed him to develop a unique full project management skill-set enabling him to direct challenged and complex projects from early planning and design stages including real property and project agreement negotiations through to construction and turn-over. Barry is a licenced professional engineer in the Province of Ontario.
He holds both a Bachelor and Masters of Applied Science from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Business Administration from Schulich School of Business. Barry guest lectures at the University of Toronto (Planning Department) on retail development and has given presentations on energy efficient building systems for non-profit housing providers.
Mara Nicolaou, BES, BArch
Director of Development
Mara comes to Trolleybus with almost 20 years of residential development and construction experience. Her knowledge includes the design and implementation of both low-rise and high-rise projects as well as master-planned communities. She brings both design and planning expertise to the Trolleybus team.
As a graduate of the University of Waterloo School of Architecture, Mara worked for more than eight years at architectsAlliance designing condominium projects for some of the city's most well-respected developers. After working as a construction project manager for two years, Mara moved on to Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) focusing on large mixed-use, mixed-income revitalization sites including Regent Park and Alexandra Park. At TCHC, Mara was a member and then chair of the Design Review Panel.
